Personality:
Sensus bursts with heavy a self-confidence and arrogance, as though he is far more imperious than those around him. He appears rather content, very in love with himself, and prepared to take on whatever is thrown at him. Alas, this is nothing more than a brainwashed persona he had created for himself—due to his brother’s influence—in order to avoid becoming a self-degrading mech.

This persona is used on the daily, even when he is genuinely happy with his surroundings. He is laid-back, calm, holds a suave voice that carries his blissful maturity, and has a very impressive intelligence. Despite withholding his very visible terminal illness—thanks to his many bodily enhancements keeping him alive—Sensus more or less is the type who prefers being very relaxed and hardly active. This clashes with his full-time job as an assassin, given that he needs to be physically active in order to carry out contracts. Though he has suited a stealth approach in order to placate his body’s need to avoid massive amounts of bodily stress or damage. Otherwise, he experiences a spark attack, or rather an explosive spark reaction, when his chassis endures far too much stress, all due to his spark being far to weak to maintain his born-body.

On top of being physically weak under his forced perception of merely being a happy-go-lucky killer, Sensus can hardly handle the anxieties of murder. He hates taking other bot’s lives, hates the violence, and despises being the culprit of everyone’s demise. The notion sends in him into brink melt downs, borderline panic attacks after each life he reaps. These shattered-psyches only happen behind closed doors however, for he’d rather not show the world his venerability.

Alas, Sensus also adorns a patch designed by the Decepticons in order to pacify his distastes of murder. The psyche-patch was forcefully installed into his processor and thus, forces him to kill every few weeks due to an insatiable tick—leading to his assassination business. If he doesn’t satiate the tick, the patch will override his psyche and force him to murder no matter whomever is around. Another side effect of this installation are his bouts of schizophrenia, which by now had become a natural occurrence in his daily life meaning: hearing voices is just the same as hearing multiple thoughts at once.

All in all, the mech is a mixture of one issue after the next, both physical and mental. He refuses to share these issues with others for he prefers fighting his battles in private. He’d rather lie to those around him that he is a mentally and physically capable mech, which eventually hurts him later once everyone discovers his crippling self-hatred. Sadly, he has become far more solitary due to his problems, only presenting that jovial sleekness for however long his is around other souls.

Friendships:
Sensus has two Amica Enduras: Astroflight and Zerorazor. Unlike pretending to be this laid-back, overly confident bot, Sensus has shown a larger variety of his truer self towards these two mechs during his years as a Decepticon. When it came to the many things he hid, Astroflight had encountered just how mentally shattered his closest buddy was in dealing with the war, his brother’s deceit, his Conjunx’s adultery, and his crippling anxieties towards murder. As for Zerorazor, he forgone an account of recognizing Sensus’ true physical weaknesses, as well as his secret desire to die. It was almost mind boggling for the two when their friend would act so well-put together, only to be just another broken individual in a world of hatred.

When it comes to their relationship currently, all three mechs know they other well enough to hardly ever speak a word. Not out of rude silence, but out of their comfort for already knowing everything about the other. There’s usually no need to speak when the other’s presence says it all, meaning that they could all coexist naturally. Surely they still have conversations, but only out of newly rendered experiences.

If when forming a relationship with a new bot, Sensus will exude the same qualities as he does with first meet: over confidence, cocky attitude, and smug grins. Depending on the bot, he only shares the bare surface of himself, or paints a picture that he is nothing more than what he presents himself as. It’s only a matter of time and propinquity before a bot discovers bits and pieces of his innermost flaws and self-deceptions.

Relationships:
His first romantic relationship and Conjunx Endura was with a femme named Blackbird. Sensus met her during his early Autobot years, fell in love due to his strange attraction towards her mystery, then eventually left the Bots in order to join the Decepticons, as it was her original faction (due to her being an undercover-Con). However, his relationship with her started off relatively well until he joined the Cons, a time where Blackbird was no longer a sweet, yet tough-love kind of femme. She went from caring to showing very little acknowledgement of him, something that he refused to believe and thus, stuck with her for well over a thousand years. Their intimacy was harshly limited during this time; she hardly helped him through his struggling endeavors, and barely cared an ounce towards his medical issues. Due to his young age at the time, he had no idea how meaningless he became to her until he was outrightly told by her secret lover to leave their Endura relationship. Knowing then that Blackbird had been cheating on him since the very beginning, he saw love as the most painful of agonies, and eventually left the Con’s shortly after.

Love from then on became a very touchy subject. As much as he desired it, it tended to stab him more than nourish. First his brother nearly murdered him, then his Conjunx played with his expectations—it simply became more of a double edged sword. And in that regard, he tries to avoid lovingly romantic relationships for the sake of his mental health.

If when he does love another bot, it takes him a fairly drawn out duration of mental confliction before he gives in to their feelings. He wishes to only love: to pamper, spoil, and indulge in anything intimate. When he finally becomes fully comfortable around another, seeing as their love may be true, he’ll begin to unravel himself little-by-little so his partner could learn his real-self. In most cases, he fears their newer opinions once they learn of his non-confident and weakened self. However, if his lover can accept him for his issues, he becomes far more emotional and more affectionate—slowly seeming a lot like ‘himself’ and not as his pseudo-persona.

Relationship with Stormracer:
Sensus’ romantic endeavor with Stormracer was utterly spontaneous. What started off as nothing more than him renting her as a temporary help—being that she is an MTO—their romanticism occurred due to Stormracer’s odd bouts of affection. Due to Sensus hating her emotionless self, he commanded that she remained emotionally-online during their two-month renting period, this order causing her to act more amorous despite her not understanding her actions. When she grew incredibly close to him in their short period of time spent, Sensus eventually gave into her loving nature out of his own needs for adoration.

Slowly but surely, he fell more in love with his femme the more she grew a feisty personality. He hardly cares that he’s dating a war machine, designed strictly for killing and pleasing others, but more that she loves him and only him, no one else in the same romantic way. Sure, he can be a bit of an asshole towards Stormracer, such as acting rude or unintentionally demeaning. Though she normally points out these moments of his ‘high-horsed nature’, causing him to deflate or apologize.

At times, he takes the more adult role in their intimacy, knowing that Stormracer is mentally lacking in everything outside of her work. He’s not a fantastic mentor, but explains the true Cybertronian way of life that isn’t killing or following strict orders. He also hopes he could help conform her into being more mature and self-sustainable so they could live a stable lifestyle when their assassination business becomes outlawed.

Other than that, he’s the type who tries to smother her with affection when he’s not being so withdrawn about his real self. He’s spent well over a few hundred-grand on her chassis—due to the damages she’s taken—and tries to pamper her with the rich lifestyle. Clearly, she’s the exact opposite of the ‘rich-life’ and eases towards more poor-like or average living styles, which Sensus disagrees with.

But when he’s not maiming her for being childish or stubborn, he enjoys her foreign accent and language, on top of her bursting confidence in her field. Occasionally, he enjoys her short temper where he’d purposely irritate her into getting angry at him, all because he relishes using his affection to calm her down. He also loves being close to her, or being physically affectionate. Sleeping alone has become undesirable, so he hopes she sleeps beside him even once she becomes restless. While on jobs, he ensures that she doesn’t take the entire brunt of their work, then later pays for whatever injuries she may take on.

The only downside in his mind about their relationship is loosing her in any way, shape, or form. As love still resides as his biggest weakness, he subconsciously fears life without her after all she had done for him. She had loved him even past his rude-natured moments, and through his physical downsides. In some cases, he may end himself if Stormracer was no longer with him, for being torn a third time in a loving relationship will be his final mistake, and final life decision.

Backstory:

Sensus is the younger twin brother of Magnitas, being born as the weaker spark. Sadly, Sensus’ division during their spark stage was what caused his weaker link, and thus laid ahead a series of early life struggles that damned him to hospice care. It was referenced several times during these years that the mech was destined to die. Yet his older brother, being the responsible one, chose to keep Sensus alive a long as possible. Eventually, Sensus almost pleaded for them to pull the plug when he knew damn well he wouldn’t be able to live a normal life, at least until his older sibling intervened and gave him various reasons to live.

The two started a therapeutic spark bonding ritual, with only a series of exchanged cables instead of direct spark contact, to assist Sensus in growing physically stronger. Because of these moments, the younger mech had a massive adoration for his older, so much so that he almost never wanted to be separated. Alas, these touching moments had to cease at some point as his older sibling began teaching him how to live more independently. Sometimes, Sensus even needed confidence boosters since his weaker spark left him in constant impasses, something that led him to a continuous state of self-degradation. Not until Magnitas stepped forward and lectured his self-loathing twin that he should view himself as more and in proving that he was the best there was. Because Sensus never wanted to disappoint his supportive other, he mentally convinced himself of his self-worth, landing him a brand new self: the egotistical, narcissistic type.

Although still sweet and generous, Sensus blossomed into a mostly independent mech, one who matured through the golden years of Cybertron. In his egotism, he wanted to achieve higher heights, going as far as to register as a racer since his hospitalized self used to watch the races in his past time. When he was admitted, he joined the juvenile league as a starting point since, well, he wasn’t a professional yet. However, it was because of his first few races that Sensus had his first spark attack due to the amount of physical stress put onto his body. It was his first traumatizing event, shooting him back to the hospital for a several months recovery. Oh, but this was just the first of many, something he wanted to overcome and make his older, and incredibly worried brother, proud.

He started investing in bodily enhancements, building himself up from the inside. He wanted to become greater, stronger, faster—better than everyone else. And for every spark attack, he added more enhancements, such as his exterior tail which not only improved his speed, but his maneuverability. Hell, he even convinced Magnitas to buy himself a pair of tails so they’d still look like identical twins, to which older mech did so. And once he achieved a certain amount of enhancements to survive races, he joined the professional league. To his amazement, he managed to score third place in his first major race, one broadcasted all over Cybertron. Sure, not exactly first place due to a certain mech named Blurr winning all the glory, but commemorative enough to garner praises from his admired sibling. Oddly, Sensus playfully ignored Magnitas’ praises with stating his egotistical banter, singing that he knew damn well he was going to win and didn’t need Magnitas’ help nor adoration. He only said this to live up to Magnitas’ words, but was unaware how much it truly hurt his other. Oh well, he believed he needed to push away anyone that may have doubted him—more words of advice from his sibling—to which he followed blindly.

Over the course of his exploding career, Sensus climbed the latter in the racing charts, mostly becoming the second or third best racer in all of Cybertron. True, he wasn’t the best as he was out done by the blue celebrity, but he still gained his much desired attention and fame. Finally, he could see himself as worth something, with millions of fans and several dozen sponsors keeping him afloat. Ahh, but he couldn’t forget about his brother either—a shame he was so busy training himself and upgrading his body to maintain the physical stress of his loving occupation.

He did overhear that Magnitas bought and sculpted himself a new hotel line, The Diamond Hotel, and chose his sibling’s very hotel to hold massive banquets and parties. Just because they were brothers didn’t mean Sensus wanted a family-discount, but paid for everything required of for renting the space. This generous move quelled some of his twin’s doubts about the haughty mech separating them completely, and accepted his attribution. From then on, it became custom for Sensus to hold thousands of parties in his brother’s ball room, a well known event that registered The Diamond Hotel as a famous landmark. This only boosted the reception, making Magnitas just as rich, and just as thankful despite his wary state. Sensus believed this was the perfect payback for everything Magnitas has done for him, the ultimate ‘thank you’. And so, he felt his debt to Magnitas was paid, eventually leaving them in a limbic state of business related parties and no longer any brotherly time together.

One fateful day however left Sensus terrified for the rest of his life, a traumatic experience he had no insights of predicting. He was tipsy, partying with other racers and spectators in the Diamond Hotel’s ballroom, minding his own business and having the time of his life. Not until Magnitas approached him that he was utterly stabbed in the throat, then kicked onto his back for his beloved twin to start tearing into his chest plating. He vividly remembers everything this deranged Magnitas had told him, telling him it was best he died when he was in stasis care—leaving him one wire away from dying as Magnitas nearly severed his main energon line. To his saving grace, his bloodthirsty brother was dragged away from security before he blacked out, waking up to being surrounded by his lawyers and authorities. He was broken, shattered. The one he loved and admired nearly murdered him, and now he was damned to leave Magnitas in prison. The least he could do was not press charges, along with writing a letter of his forgiveness. From that day forward, he never saw Magnitas again.

His career continued nonetheless, his struggles in maintaining a perfect health a major downside. A side effect of his many enhancements was the effect it had on his body, making his spark far weaker than it already was. He would have gone back to his brother for spark therapy, however he could no longer see him. This made him add even more enhancements, at least until he was told another addition could permanently damage him, forcing him to live with what he had. He had more spark attacks regardless of these changes, but pursued his career no matter the damage.

Finally, the war hit. Sensus’ racing ring was bombed mid race, nearly annihilating everyone, including himself. Well, or so he thought. When he woke up, he was severely damaged, bleeding from every direction. Bodies laid everywhere—a truly horrific sight that burned into his memory. He had ignored the many rallies in protest of the senate, not understanding the lives of those below him. And now, they ignited a war that tarnished his career, something that crushed his hopes in maintaining a steady future.

The mech eventually joined the Autobots blindly in consideration to Blurr’s choice, believing the first-place winner would always choose the winning side. Now involving himself in the war, he discovered a few new sides of himself: One, he couldn’t kill a single Cybertronian soul without the fear of guilt tearing him apart. Two, he was an amazing strategist, meaning he wouldn’t have to kill anymore bots as long as he remained among his base’s internal lines. Yes, this seemed workable, allowing Sensus to no longer have to stain his hands and instead work for this authorities in mustering dozens of possible strategies. In this case, he wasn’t working himself to death physically, thus his spark attacks ceased for quite some time.

Around this era, Sensus landed his sights on a rather beautiful femme named Blackbird. Unbeknownst to him, she was an undercover Decepticon spy, but sported an innocent look of black with blue bio-lights. He fell instantly in love with her, constantly courting the femme with his high confidence and suave voice. In her dismay, she almost couldn’t handle it, falling in just as much love with him as he did with her. And for a femme scout, she was always on the front lines, but amazed Sensus with her skillset, later teaching him how to handle a sword and gun—two weapons he will always handle in unison for her name’s sake.

When she did, in fact, share her secret of being a spy once the two became lovers, Sensus hardly cared what faction she derived from. Instead, he abandoned his Cause to join hers so she could pertain a happy lifestyle. This was his last major mistake.

Sensus was forced to fight on the front lines, not at all appreciated for his strategic mindset. No, he struggled with mass murder, causing him to return from his missions with massive melt downs, all thanks to his impending guilt. When these melt downs hindered his progress, he was forcefully dragged into an operating room for a new addition to his already huge collection of enhancements—a psyche patch. This patch would numb his guilt towards death by convincing him that murder was good, administering a euphoric sensation per each life taken. Oh, but this only clashed with him, now hating and loving genocide in a disgustingly unbalanced scale. At times, he’d crave killing while his life morals said otherwise. Before he knew it, he started developing a form of schizophrenia, these voices being the equivalent of his colliding desires and distastes.  He nearly killed one of his friends due to the patch, mainly when it was remotely activated for a testing sequence.

Now his life took a bitter turn, prompting him to become more aggressive and hostile in his egotistical way. He’d brutally injure bots for his own amusement, belittle everyone who dared speak to him, and at times, physically abuse his lover. Strangely, Blackbird stuck with him through this violent phase, being the voice of reason until he snapped out of his daze. Thankfully, this vicious version of himself was a reaction towards being damned with the patch, creating a violent persona that he needed to quench— something that forced him to accept slaughter missions if only to become his normal, positive self. And once his life balanced out for the greater good, he became Conjunx with his beloved femme.

A real shame the following years of Sensus’ marriage came crashing down when he was confronted with her ‘real’ lover, discovering that Blackbird had been adulterous since the get-go. Again, he wasn’t aware his alleged lover was mentally manipulated by this said ‘partner’, something she tried to fight but couldn’t overcome. Consequently, Sensus left the marriage anyways, utterly destroyed and fearful of ever falling in love again.

Due to his failing Endura, Sensus abandoned the Decepticon Cause to become independent in every like. He created his own assassination, bounty hunting career that not only paid well, but was in high demand. This also satisfied the needing to kill since removing the patch would erase his entire memory system and possibly personality. The fact damned him to his job, taking on the dangerous missions no matter how often they’d trigger spark attacks—he had simply pushed himself to continue a living and doubted his weaker side. He then made enough to purchase his own ship, a very slender vessel large enough to house only a small handful of other guests despite living alone.

For the remainder of his years to his present, Sensus has been working non-stop, turning himself into a major workaholic. He only ever took breaks when he’d have his attacks, or if he had a melt-down due to a previous assassination mission. Oddly, he still presents an upbeat personality around others, possibly from his anti-depressant prescriptions, by hiding his depression with a jovial confidence. Sure, he’s not always happy, usually finding himself miffed if things never go as planned. But to see Sensus truly upset happens every so often, mostly when he feels himself descending back into his hidden low-self esteem or clashing life morals.

I read this and his brother's story in the morning, I was very impressed. I feel sorry for both of them.... I like the world of MTMTE. is strange and original, just like your OC stories.
